• Your custom design is converted to a photo film positive
     • A die is created to trim the pin to its final shape
     • UV light is projected through the film onto a specially coated sheet of brass which is then processed to etch the design.
     • A spur post is soldered to the pin back to accommodate a military style (butterfly) clutch.
     • Cleaning, plating and polishing
     • Etched (recessed) areas are filled, by hand, with "Duro" enamel, then baked to achieve a durable and long lasting finish
     • Individually poly bagged

   
      • Your custom design is engraved into a steel die, then struck into a brass blank using very high pressure, thereby creating a negative (embossed) impression of your design
     • A second, separate die is created to trim the pin to a precise final shape
     • Embossed (recessed) areas are filled with special "Hi-Res" paste, one color at a time and cured with high temperature.           
     • Ground flat, smooth and polished.

     • Cleaning, plating and final polishing
     • Individually poly bagged
